Hand Engraving

Olivia often applies intricate details to her jewellery pieces through the use of traditional hand engraving techniques. These allow Olivia to create lifelike details, tactile textures and shimmering reflections. Olivia is currently furthering her skills in the art of traditional hand engraving through her Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) Scholarship with master hand engraver Malcolm Appleby MBE.

Die Stamping

Die stamping is the process of engraving a negative relief pattern or design into a piece of steel. This is then stamped into a softer metal, such as silver or gold, to get the opposite impression. A few of Olivia’s collections utilise this method, the Daisy range is made from one of Olivia’s very first dies.
